Welcome back, fellow humans.
In Japan, vengeful paranormal entities are finding ways to murder innocent teens online. The Red Room is an internet pop-up that notifies the imminent death and there is nothing to do to stop the pop-up from claiming its victim shortly afterwards. It is said, the best thing to do once the Red Room chooses its next victim is to compose a farewell letter to the loved ones. The urban legend initiated with the flash animation of a boy being cursed after facing the internet pop-up and became infamous when a schoolgirl bookmarked the video and committed the Sasebo slashing in 2004.
The cursed internet pop-up includes a red window with Japanese writing, “Do you like ……..?” along with an ominous voice reading it aloud. The pop-up window cannot be closed, no matter what is done to prevent it. It gets worse with each and every click of the mouse unveiled more letters until the message says, “Do you like The Red Room?” The computer screen is enveloped in red and lists the names of the previous victims of the Red Room.
All of a sudden, the victim senses an unknown presence in the room and loses consciousness. The victim is slowly driven to commit suicide by the supernatural forces and the walls of the room are painted with their own blood.
